Maryellen and Jim GrazianoIn 1937 my great-grandfather started the J.P. Graziano Grocery Company on Randolph Street in Chicago’s West Loop shortly after arriving in America from Italy. He had a few simple goals in mind: place an emphasis on customer service and hand pick Italian food suppliers who offer the highest quality products.
Four generations later, I am honored to carry on the family tradition of customer service, authentic foods, and superior quality.
Most days you’ll find a Graziano family member helping a customer with an order. Ma may be answering a customer service call, my sister may be packing up an order, and I spend my days sourcing Italy’s most popular and unique foods from small producers who live up to my great-grandpa’s standards for quality.
Our store stands in the heart of Chicago’s meat and produce market area at the corner of Peoria and Randolph—the exact same spot where my great-grandfather started his business.
Thanks for visiting our site. And if you ever get to Chicago, come to our store in the West Loop and say hi—just like great-grandpa, we love visitors!

The J.P. Graziano Grocery Company is a fourth-generation family-owned Italian grocery in Chicago’s West Loop.
As the oldest Italian market in the City of Chicago, we feature a wonderful selection of imported cheeses, olive oils, pastas, imported tomatoes, spices, legumes and olives.
Our menu offers something for everyone. Given our background, we have to offer a classic Italian sub and a Prosciutto sub with fresh mozzarella. But we also put our own twist on the unique made-to-order tuna sub, three different vegetarian options and, of course, the house specialty, Mr. G.
Our superb catering service provides business and home entertainers with an authentic Chicago experience with our sandwich platters and antipasti trays. Choose from our mouth-watering sub sandwiches or build an antipasti tray with hand-crafted, authentic Italian meats, imported cheeses and olives, marinated artichokes and red peppers, and grilled eggplant.
